Alice Blue DP Charges

DP Charges

According to Alice Blue brokerage plans, there are zero delivery fees, but when Roshni sells the shares, a certain charge was deducted from her trading account. These charges are Alice Blue DP charges.Ā

At first, it is essential to note down that the DP chargesĀ are not mentioned on the contract note and hence many investors and traders remain unaware of those charges.Ā

Want to know what these charges are and how much fees you need to pay as the debit transaction fees?Ā

DP Maintenance Charges Alice BlueĀ

Alice Blue being the discount broker offers relaxation in the depository participant fees as well.Ā

The selling transaction fee is flat ā‚¹15 per scrip.

This is the information of DP charges, but how these charges are actually imposed or deducted?

For this, letā€™s take up an example.

Let’s suppose, Neha is a saleswoman and is involved in selling out beauty and healthcare products.

But as per her company norms, the incentive program is a bit different, where she would be able to grab a huge incentive of ā‚¹500 per category per day.

Since she is involved in selling products of two different categories, here irrespective of the number of products per category she can earn incentives by the end of the day.Ā

Thus, whether she sells 10 beauty products or 20 of them, she will get the incentive of ā‚¹500 per day. However, if she is able to sell even a single product of healthcare then again the incentive of ā‚¹500 would be provided to her.Ā

So here the incentive was not on the basis of per product but per category.Ā

Similarly are the DP charges.Ā

These charges are charged per scrip on selling. So whether you sell 1 share or 100 shares of the particular scrip you would be charged the sum of ā‚¹15.Ā

Also, even if you sell the shares in the fractions on a particular day, the DP charges are imposed only once. But selling the shares of one scrip on two different days would charge you twice.Ā

Here comes one question?

Do Alice Blue DP charges are charged on intraday trading?

The answer is NO!

Wondering Why?

Since in intraday trade, the shares are not transferred to the demat account, thus there is no credit or debit of shares. Hence no selling transaction fees are levied on the intraday traded scrips.

ConclusionĀ

As it is already clear that the DP charges are levied by the depository participant and can be a source of income for both DPs and depositories (NSDL and CDSL).Ā

Since these charges are hidden so it becomes important for you to look for them before opening Alice Blue demat account.
